Course Description

The purpose of this 12-month intensive weekend format is to support those who wish to cultivate a deeper relationship with the principles and practice of Breema. It is ideally suited for those interested in becoming a Certified Breema Practitioner and applying and integrating Breema into their profession(s), but all who wish to benefit from this opportunity are welcome to join.

By offering immersive monthly weekend workshops, the course allows for completion of all certification requirements in just 12 months, but also offers flexibility for those traveling from outside the Bay Area. For those who cannot attend monthly, there are many additional options for accruing certification hours.

Curriculum

Students will receive an experiential education in the philosophy and principles of Breema, and a practical education that will give them the ability to safely and effectively practice Breema as a practitioner. Please note that the Breema Center does not offer any vocational placement, nor does it claim that graduates of the program should or will be able to pursue Breema as an income source. This is left entirely up to each graduate, and all applicable state and local laws must be followed in order to practice professionally.

We will learn and practice a select repertoire of bodywork and Self-Breema sequences, all living expressions of the Nine Universal Principles of Harmony. As we study the comprehensive philosophy of Breema, we learn to apply the principles and philosophy of Breema in our own lives.

Studying Breema  is experiential—we learn with the body, and the emphasis is on our own experience. Succinctly put, to study Breema is to study oneself. Breema offers perspectives and experiences that can become the foundation of a profound self-understanding with the potential to have a transformative effect on one’s life.

Requirements

Those who receive a certificate of completion from the Breema Center for meeting all the requirements of practitioner certification are qualified to call themselves Certified Breema Practitioners. A total of 165 hours are required for practitioner certification. The 150 hours of Breema and Self-Breema classroom instruction can be accrued at the monthly practitioner weekend workshops, at workshops and weekly classes offered at the Breema Center, as well as at Breema intensives. In addition to classroom instruction, students must complete 15 hours of Anatomy and Physiology classes or assignments, participate in 6 touch support sessions with Certified Breema Instructors that we will schedule, and document 10 student practice sessions.
